Congratulations on buying your new home!

Whether you have a renovation ahead of you or you are ready to move right in, you will soon begin to wonder about the history of your house.  Many structures in New Orleans hold a great store of memories from past generations, waiting to embrace the ones you will create.  Our House Stories wants to unlock the story to your house.

My wife, Rosie, and I, Greg, closed on our house, a beautiful side hall located in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans, in September 2010.  We faced a near-complete renovation.  You can see on this page some before and after pictures which show the path we took in our renovation.  Luckily for us, Rosie brought a strong background in architectural history to our new project, ensuring that the finished result would honor the people who built and lived in our new home through the years.  Of course, we had yet to truly explore the history of your home.  Only after we moved in and settled down did the discovery of Our House Story began.

Stay tuned as we begin the research process into not just the history of our home but also the lives of the people who lived here.
